The Fort Worth area is a great place to live if you are passionate about enjoying the best beer around. Not only are there some fantastic breweries in the area (cough-Fort-Brewery-cough), but also some really fun events to attend and be a part of. There are great things going on all year round, but we thought we would start off by taking a look at some Fort Worth area 2020 beer events happening in the next few months during the first half of the year.
These are the events that we’re most excited about, and we certainly hope to see all of our friends and customers at some of them. Whether you are really into the full experience of tasting and sampling craft beers, enjoy seeing how beer and food can be paired well together, or you just like having a tall one with some friends, these events are for you. So have a look, see what’s coming up, and make sure you take some time to attend at least a couple of these great events. You won’t be sorry you did!
Near Southside Beer & Cider Tour – February 15th
First up on our list of great Fort Worth area 2020 beer events is the Near Southside Beer & Cider Tour. This is a regular, on-going event that happens every month – sometimes multiple times each month – so you don’t have to worry about missing it like you do with most of these other events. It is a great way to experience some of the best breweries here in Fort Worth with a tour of these locations and an opportunity to try them and see what all the fuss is about.
The Near Southside Beer & Cider Tour is a walking tour of four different local breweries, often including Fort Brewery, which gives you the opportunity to taste whatever you are interested in. The tour comes with three flights and three full beers, with the flexibility to switch that up if you want to try something different. It is typically held on Saturdays, with one coming up on Saturday, February 15th, and tends to run from noon to 4 pm, and tickets cost $75.
Wizards and Witches Beer Festival – March 21st
If you’re a fan of a certain “Wizarding World” and want a chance to mix that with your love of beer and other adult beverages, then you are in luck! The Wizards and Witches Beer Festival is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy an evening out with great food, delicious beverages, and wizardy vendors with a wide range of goods for sale. There’s nothing else quite like it out there, so be sure to check this event out to brag to your friends about getting a butterscotch beer at the Boozy Cauldron Tavern!
The Wizards and Witches Beer Festival is held at Globe Life Park in Arlington, TX. It is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st this year, from 6:30 pm to 10 pm. Tickets are on sale now, and for just $35, you get admission to the event. There will also be live music to keep you entertained while you taste all the deliciousness this festival has to offer.
Big Texas Beer Fest 2020 – March 27th-28th
Most great Fort Worth area 2020 beer events are a lot of fun but pretty small in scale, but then there’s the Big Texas Beer Fest, which more than lives up to its name. This event hosts more than 100 breweries with hundreds of different craft beers for you to taste and enjoy (please do not try to sample all 400+ beers in one visit!). There’s live music, great food trucks, and of course, some of the best beer around at one of the biggest beer events anywhere.
The Big Texas Beer Fest 2020 is on Friday, March 27th, from 7 pm to 11 pm, and on Saturday, March 28th, from 2 pm to 6:30 pm. It will be held in the Fair Park Automobile Building in Dallas, so you will have to drive a bit to get there, but it’s worth it! General admission and VIP tickets are both available, and the show always sells out in advance, so don’t wait.
Burgers, Brews + Blues – April 4th
If you’re looking for a Fort Worth area 2020 beer event with a bit more focus on the food that goes so well with the brew, then check out Burgers, Brews + Blues. This is a great celebration of delicious burgers, refreshing beer, and soulful blues that really gets at the heart of the American experience. Some really talented chefs show off with mini-burgers that you truly have to taste to believe, and craft beers are paired with them for a great culinary experience.
Burgers, Brews + Blues will be held on Saturday, April 4th this year at the Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork, here in Fort Worth. It is scheduled to go from 6 pm to 9 pm, with great music, sliders, and refreshing beers. Tickets are available now for $70, which gets you admission and includes your burgers and brews.
Hops and Props Beerfest – April 25th
This is a fun event that is quite different from a lot of the other Fort Worth area 2020 beer events – it is a celebration of beer at the Aviation Museum! This is the fifth year for this unique event, where you get a chance to enjoy some delicious local beers among the incredible planes that make up our nation’s aviation history. This is a celebration of our veterans and is welcome to all ages, though you must be 21 or over to enjoy the “hops” part of the festivities.
The Hops and Props Beerfest is set for Saturday, April 27th, from 9 am to 5 pm. There will be military vehicles and planes on display, along with an interactive flight simulator, and live music. The event will be held at Fort Worth Aviation Museum – tickets are available at a range of prices, and you can contact the museum for more information.
Arlington All-Star Craft Beer, Wine, and Cocktail Festival – May 9th
Although we love Fort Worth beer events, we know that not everyone is a big brew fan (gasp!). With that in mind, events like the Arlington All-Star Craft Beer, Wine, and Cocktail Festival are perfect if you have a big group of friends with different beverage tastes. While there will certainly be amazing craft beers to sample, there will also be a range of other wines and cocktails to enjoy – something for everyone.
The Arlington All-Star Craft Beer, Wine, and Cocktail Festival will be held at Globe Life Field, the new home of the Texas Rangers, in Arlington. It is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, with two different sessions available: a day session from 1 pm to 5 pm, and a night session from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now for either session and include free parking, a pair of 2020 Rangers tickets, and access to all the fun, food, and drinks.
36th Annual Main Street Fest – May 15th-17th
Although Grapevine might be well known for its wine events here in Texas, they also have a fantastic Fort Worth beer event that you should check out. The 36th Annual Main Street Fest – A Craft Brew Experience is truly a celebration of craft beers and the passion that goes into making them. This is a three-day event with plenty of family-friendly activities planned, so you can bring friends, family, and anyone else that wants to get out and have fun.
The 36th Annual Main Street Fest – A Craft Brew Experience will be held on Main St. in Grapevine. Festivities kick off on Friday, May 15th, with free family admission from 10 am to 5 pm, and then paid admission from 5 pm to 11:30 pm. Paid admission will also be available from 10 am to 11:30 pm on Saturday, May 16th, and from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday, May 17th.
